Value Engineering

Data-driven decision making

We analyze your process and propose changes that reduce waste and save money. We’ll implement changes that make the most business sense to you. Analysis will be billed up front, while the process improvements can be billed either volume-based or fixed-cost, depending on tax circumstances and production volume regularity.

  • Production volume is going up and you want to keep headcount the same. We’d analyze, for example, if automation makes sense, or if there are lower cost tooling improvements that can be made.
  • Implement a statistics-driven quality control plan at a vendor’s site.
Most Common

Project Driven

Known requirements & deliverables

When your engineering team has 5 projects to get done, but only the time to finish 3, this is a great option. We’ll reference your requirements as deliverables in the quote, which will have sensible milestones. Most first-time clients prefer this project structure as it allows you to ‘try us out.’

  • Consolidate multiple legacy production tools into one design to free up floor space for a new product.
  • Create a CNC machining process for a finalized part piece design with monthly volume of X.
  • Modify PLC programming of existing, custom automation equipment so it does Y.
Greatest Flexibility

Time & Materials

Iterate without friction

Use our team as needed during periods of high engineering load, like new product introductions. Need to change scope? No problem. Some large corporate clients provide us with blanket purchase orders for ‘buckets’ of hours. Other clients choose to just sign an agreement with us. Either way, we’ll bill bi-weekly until we finish what you need us to.

  • Support manufacturing engineering for the entirety of new product introduction.
  • Continuous supplier quality improvement activities.
  • Modernize a large portion of your production facility.
